Each month I host a painting class at my home in Toccoa. The teacher is Pat Appling, who is a Bob Ross certified teacher. However, we do not paint only Bob Ross pictures. Main interest so far is dedicated to floral paintings. The painting is done on a 16 x 20 canvas and is painted in oils. It is a one day class and you take a completed painting home the same day.
The class size is limited to 10. Cost is $55.00 per person which includes the canvas, paints, use of Pat's brushes and supplies. Coffee and pastry in the morning, plus lunch is provided by me. I make no money from this, it costs me money, but I am dedicated to advancing the arts in Toccoa.
Our next clas is September 10th, at which time we will be painting yellow roses in an oval. Our October class is scheduled for October 1st and we will be painting fall mums. November 5th will be poinsettias, and December 10th will be Amaryllis.
Classes begin at 10 am and run to approximately 3 pm (or whenever your painting is finished). We will be expressing our choices for next years projects, including bringing in a California seascape artist by the name of Joyce Ortner. I am trying to contact other artists also.
